I decided to try the 10 min blocks I saw on You Tube. The blue flowered block - the center block is the same size at the outside blocks. (4X4) The pick flowered one - the center is 1 inch larger than the outside blocks. (4 1/2 with 5 1/2 center)The blue flowered with beige center - the center is 2 inches larger than the outside blocks. (4 1/2 and 6 1/2 center)I just wanted to see what it would look like with a different size center. I kinda like the larger ones. I haven't decided if I'm going to leave the center square or lay it over like a Cathedral Window. But these were just for fun.

I like the looks of the larger center too! I plan to make a quilt with these 10 minute squares. Right after I made my DS and DIL a quilt, they got a king sized bed. Now they fight and have a tug of war with their quilt every night. So I promised them another quilt! This pattern would be quicker to make!

I like 2nd and 3rd, can't really decide which size I like best. 1st is just too small.

I would go for the larger ones. I have done some scrappy 10 min. blocks for my current project (mindless/wonky/random) used a different colour for each square. It is a good quick block...so I might use it again sometime.

Except for the coloring, this is what I know as 3D bow tie. I haven't done it with a single color background, but I like what you did with it.

Considering the skill you have shown so far, I am sure whatever you do next will be great.
