Thread: 13yo DD's Horse Jacket

    Here's the jacket DD made. Finished it up today :)

    We started out with the jacket pattern found here:

    There's also a children's version here:

    She had a bit of guidance, but did the work herself.
    We had to lengthen it because she's almost 5ft 9 in tall.
    And we decided that the back, which originally called for the horse panel to go all the way to the shoulders, should have a yoke instead.
    Quilted with horseshoes.

    BTW, I'm one proud mama :D

    That's great! She did an awesome job! Much better than I could do! It fits her really well. Cute pattern, too!

    Well done. Your daughter looks like she approves! She is very cute. I can see the horse shoes quilted in, nice touch.
