I wouldn't call them "blah" blocks. Both are beautiful. I really like that design. Is it your own?

No, it is taken from a book I have...Quilter's Academy vol. 2, and they call it "Four Patch Chain on Point."

It is really just a 9 patch using the off white as the outer points top and bottom and the colored squares as the other 4 squares and then a chain block which is also a 9 patch but the corners of the 9 patch are 4 patches. Send me a PM and I will tell you more in detail if you want to know.

The quilts turned out great. You took "blah" squares to great very well. FMQ does take practice but worth the effort.

maybe "blah" individually, but like a chorus, when put all together, they make a wonderful melody! Pretty quilts!
Oh, and fwiw...I also seek 'perfection' and want "flatness," but you know, the more I look at quilts, the more I think that wavy just adds to the charm of a "quilt." It's supposed to be like that!
(Oh, and you have a neat meandering FMQ style; I like it!)
