Advice needed for flower quilt
#1
Here is the flower quilt I've been working on recently. I think I made a boo boo and need some advice on what to do.
The measurements are 50 x 80 give or take 1/4 inch. I think it needs to be wider, but I really dread pulling off the borders. Can anyone suggest what to do? I have odd scraps of fun colored fabric that I thought I could add to increase the size, but how? Add 4 block squares with a sash in between, or maybe some random strips all around. Here are some pics of the quilt.
It does not cover the mattress when it is on the bed.

That quilt top is really stunning!
How about adding some single blocks made out of the same fabric as the four patch blocks and in the same size going all the way around and adding the same sashing fabric as spacers between blocks to make it the right length.

I think I will try the piano keyboard on it. I should be able to weed in some other fabric that should blend in nicely. I want it to be a twin size. As you can see the top isn't large enough to cover the mattress. Thanks for your help.
