Here's mine---it certainly can't compete with Lisa's lovely lady, but overall, I'm happy with it. I couldn't get that tiny center to match up so I may add a little circle later.

I wouldn't mind a squirrel on my head. They look a lot friendlier than the possums we have here.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this block is a little scrawney? When I put it on my board next to the rest, it really looks puney. Maybe another row of embroidery would help.

Roxanne, I love the colors you are using for your blocks!! This block scares me to death!!! I'm almost finished with the fourth block in the schedule, and I absolutely hated making those leaves!!!!! I just couldn't get the points right. The way they are designed made it so difficult for me to get them to lay flat (i.e. not having a wad of fabric underneath the tip). I was getting so frustrated with them. I don't know how everyone else got them to lay nice and flat, but I'm really going to have to learn how to do them the proper way. By the time I finish this quilt I will be an expert on making points and dips!!!!   Then it will be on to designing my masterpiece with lots of flowers and birds and vines and ribbons and.........well, I think you get the idea! :-D :-D

    Patty,
Thanks for your kind remarks. Don't be scared of this block----for some reason it was very easy..Go figure! These tiny scrolls were easier for me than the larger ones. As for points and blobs and such, I have the same issue but so far I think your work is just lovely. All I can say is that I gave up on perfection when I realized I wouldn't be a concert pianist and began to play for the enjoyment. The same with my quilting. I would love to do the same caliber of work as Leslie, Kathy and Patti but I can't and I won't let that keep me from doing something that I love to do. My quilts are made with tons of aahh Personality and love.
