I saw a quilt similar to this at Rosies Qult Shop in El Cajon in the San Diego area and they told me the name of the person that had the templates.

The block is called Glorified Nine Patch. What I have is a set of templates with directions to make the block . . . there are no specific instructions for any particular quilt. The block was featured in both The Art of Classic Quiltmaking as well as my newest book Quilt Challenges (co-authored with Pam Mostek). If you'd like a set of the templates you can mail me a check for $12.50 (includes the postage) and I'll mail them to you. The templates are made out of acrylic material, are rotary friendly . . . John Flynn cuts the templates for me using a computer driven laser, so they are very accurate.

    Yep,... great information shared.
I still have my acrylic templates and will finish up my blocks someday in 30s prints.
*The brown block posted is just a practice block.*

Good deal, the price sounds right too, because that's how much I paid for my acrylic templates (it was in 2009).

But I got mine from Calico spice shop..
The online shop has traditional and contemporary items for sale.

Hi RedGarnet, I'm a new member. I have the pieces cut out & a lot pieced together. I sewed two rows together but I am having difficulty getting it to go together right. is there a trick to this ? Any tips?
