Just a "Little" Irish
Yes ... that's what it is ... Just a "Little" Irish ... a Mini Irish Chain.
My first mini and also my first hand quilting project.
Many thanks!!!!!
to OKSewGlad and Granny_59 for the inspiration,
to OKSGlad for coaching me through the process,
and to NStitchs for the suggestion for the ♥ quilting.
It's not quite small enough for an AAQI Mini as it's 10-1/2"x13-1/4" ... but heck, I had to make a quilt for the quilting rack that I just recently found at 2nd hand store.
And yes, Ladies, you've got me hooked!!!!!!! I foresee many minis in my future!!!
(and yes, that's a tiny flange in the border!)

This is sew very cute! So if I figured correctly your 9 patch blocks are only about 2" each??
Edited to add, oh I think they are smaller than that, I just went back and looked at your measurements and counted the squares again. They are more like 1 1/2" each! Wow that is tiny, you need to picture it with something to scale like a pencil or a barbie doll.

Thanks Everyone for your kind comments.
I'll challenge you to do one yourself ... it really wasn't that hard, and it was a whole lot of FUN!!!
ITA dolls come in all sizes!! I don't think there's any official sizes for Doll Quilts or Minis. I referenced AAQI as it has become a standard here on the QB and I admire the ladies who have supported the AAQI effort. I hope that some day the program will spread to other countries, especially here to Canada.
Yes, you figured it out ... each of the yellow squares in the chain finish at 1/2"x1/2"!!
This is BIG work, compared to what OKSGlad and Granny59 do!!!!!!!!!!!
So I have a long way to go, to catch up to their intricate work!!!

How darling!! Great job! Of course I counted and surmised it was 1/2" squares Did you strip piece the 9P's? Isn't it amazing how much fabric you really need for the pieces as so half of it is in seam allowances? Oh friend you are on a roll and will be whipping up these special little ones left and right.
