Default A Baby Quilt--all from my stash!

I don't think I have ever managed to make a quilt of any size exclusively from my stash before!! Thank you to the person (I'm sorry, their name escapes me) who posted the link to the Wickedly Easy Quilt Block. It is wonderful! I decided to do a QAG because I am not comfortable with FMQ yet. I realized that the quilt needed a little extra width and added the side strips all in one piece and then FMQ'd them--and realized I could actually handle the WHOLE quilt at one time!! Big leap forward for me! After washing and drying in the dryer, the uneven FMQ stitches are not nearly as noticeable (I hope). This quilt ended up at about 48x40 and took me 4 afternoons.

Thanks for looking.

Great quilt... many "I Spy" fabrics with objects the baby can find later, when they are a bit older.

Great job on the stash quilt. Looks like you already had a lot of children's fabrics in the stash, so perfect for the baby quilt.

It is so cute.More than that, I realize how great you are feeling about yourself with the accomplishment of FMQ the whole addition.I am a hand quilter who is soon to give machine quilting a try. It's amazing the fear that can stop a person, huh? I am so happy for you for the big leap. Hope you will leap even further. Thanks for sharing.

Love it....the fabrics are just too cute. I spent the afternoon today cutting out strips for a lap sized "Wicked" from the leftover fabric from the owl quilt i made my newest DGD last year. Can't wait to start sewing - but have another one i have to finish first. Thanks for sharing yours.
