Very pretty quilt! Love churn dash and shoo fly. Nothing wrong with straight line quilting... I do a lot of it myself. You don't always have to stitch in the ditch... you can use your seam as a guide for the machine's foot and sew 1/4" inside or outside the seams... or both! Just be prepared to turn and turn and turn the quilt as you go.

You're doing great!

There are so many quilts that are straight stitched these days and they look absolutely beautiful. I took a class on Craftsy with Jacquie Gering (I think that is her last name) and she does amazing straight line quilting, the one thing she teaches is that the foot is called a walking foot for a reason, you can't be racing to get it done and have the end product come out the way you want it to. Your doing great with the quilts so be proud!

I don't understand why you can't quilt on your Pfaff. I am still quilting on my older Bernina 1530. I quilted the queen size quilt (picture of my avatar) on this baby of mine. The one trick I found out was that you need to support the quilt on your left side and behind your Pfaff.
