Default introducing the world's most ugliest quilt

so i get this fabric in the mail from a good friend of mine, right? and she wants me to make a quilt from it. i'm thinking WOW this is going to be fun!
then i open up the package and i think ~ are you serious??????
not that these fabrics are horrid, mind you, im sure they have their place somewhere and someone would LOVE them. but just not together.
there is christmas, contemporary, this leafy thing, a chevron, and a well, a green. here are the fabrics im given to work with.

well i keep sending my friend pictures and she keeps telling me "this looks really good!" with all kinds of enthusiasm. i start thinkin maybe she's got swamp fever or something but i dont want to tell her her cheese slid off the cracker because heck maybe she DOES think this is beautiful and that would be rude. and you know me, ive always got to be politically correct, right?
so FINALLY when im almost done with it she tells me "that sure is some gosh-awful fabric all put together like that". now i think MY cheese is going to slide off the cracker. this quilt top is so obtrusive to work with i finally had to put it down for a couple of days just to rest my eyes!
so my friend, bless her little pea pickin heart, decided to put me to the test. she figured if i could come up with something using all of these that i could "make a silk purse from a sow's ear". apparently i passed the test!!
i have just finished it, took a picture of it, and folded it up where it will remain until it goes out in the mail! want to see the finished product? beauty IS truly in the eye, someone just might love the dickens out of it, and as my son's gf told me today a homeless person would love it! so here she is in all of her naked glory.
hope you got a giggle! i've had several and i learned a lesson~~speak my mind!~

ive laughed myself silly a few times over this~laughter truly is the best medicine in the world! the end!

I love it!!! Great work. Was she really testing you? Or did she really think they matched?

Well...... What can I say but you did the best you could with what you had. Not sure I would have been able to get past the first step once I saw the fabrics.

Thanks for the laugh....I think I would have had to do some swaps with other fabrics but you pulled it off! Good Job.
