Butterfly Quilt
#52
Well I did sleep on it for a while , can not get this quilt off my mind and I am not even a butterfly person. I have not bought any quilt related things for a long ,long time , probably a year or more . (using up tons of scraps) I caved and ordered it yesterday . I am not a fan of the pinks , however , I keep seeing this quilt in realistic batiks ahhhhh , I will keep dreaming, as it would cost a fortune to buy batiks . I hope to study the pattern , make a black and white copy to color and come up with a way to make it out of scraps . If not I can re-sell on E-Bay LOL. I just had to get my hands on this to read the pattern. I keep surfing the web hoping to spot a scrap or batik version

Thanks Otis, I can't wait to get the pattern and then get a day off to read it ! I am thinking that if the scrap blocks don't look good I will just sew them up into a quilt another way . I sure have plenty to spare . I was looking through my red, black, grays collection and am thinking of using them . I also have a teal and brown collection I had boxed up to sell on e-bay . I had a request from my sister for these colors , I told her those colors would also be pretty and I will teach her to sew one herself LOL.

I have bought this pattern and "WOW"! The pattern has 15 different blocks in different sizes. Patterns show good directions for each block. I did talk with Otis and she said to cut, sew and mark each block and then go on the the next. Key to this pattern is to keep organized! This is probably the most difficult pattern that I have ever attempted. I have my fabric collected and hope to start next week. Wish me luck and happey sewing!

What colors are you using bigsister63 ? I am still debating on my choices . I would love to go buy batiks ,but I have to use stash because I have waaaaaay too much fabric and not enough time to use it all up .
