Well I did sleep on it for a while , can not get this quilt off my mind and I am not even a butterfly person. I have not bought any quilt related things for a long ,long time , probably a year or more . (using up tons of scraps) I caved and ordered it yesterday . I am not a fan of the pinks , however , I keep seeing this quilt in realistic batiks ahhhhh , I will keep dreaming, as it would cost a fortune to buy batiks . I hope to study the pattern , make a black and white copy to color and come up with a way to make it out of scraps . If not I can re-sell on E-Bay LOL. Raedar63 -My quilt has purple batiks - some light and some dark - along with dark purple solids and a cream solid for the background. I think scraps would work brilliantly - the pattern is several blocks (simple blocks) and as long as you follow the guideline of dark, medium, and light fabrics - it will work.
