My granddaughter, Aubrey, age 12, decided after watching Grandma sew, that she wanted to make something. After looking at numerous books, she decided on making a pajama top. Next order of business was to pick out fabric. She loved the doggie fabric and I suggested we use the paw print fabric to "accent" it.

I think that she did really good for the first time using a pattern, cutting the fabric and sewing!! (Grandma did help -- but really not that much!)

She hates to have her picture taken so I didn't get any of the actual "doing" but here is the finished effort:

Sewjoyce, thanks for sharing, what a fun hobby to share with your gd. Sorry she doesn't like her picture taken because she's beautiful and we all love to see beauty in our lives. That's such cute fabric!

Well, gee, I think she's beautiful too -- but then I'm just a wee bit prejudiced! Thanks :D

I don't know why she doesn't like her picture taken. She's such a beautiful girl. And she sews! Let us know if she needs fabric! Great influence, grandma!
