CORRECTION TO MY MESSAGE - FOUND THE PATTERN, IT IS FROM QUILTERSCACHE.COM BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE AWAY A POSITNG.
Does anyone recognize this block and where the pattern came from? It was a free paper piecing pattern, and cannot find it now that I want to make another. Don't have an idea where to begin looking in the 1000s of pix online.

not hers - already checked, but it does look like something she would design.

I've done the head of the flower as a block (not paper pieced) but not the stem and background.

I have seen that before, as well. But cannot remember where I saw it. It was during my review of quilt museums.

It's a pin wheel. Here's a link for a paper pieced pattern. Hope it helps.
