The fact that you actually put the directions here without someone asking is fantastic! Thank John so much. I bet your will see a lot more of these chevrons showing up now on the board. Yours looks awesome. Thanks again so much

I'm a beginner & not really catching on to do this are the strips 9&7/8" or a total of 9 strips 7/8" wide? Could you maybe do a longer tutorial please, I love Chevrons. Thanks

Jeri, I've tried a couple of times to post this for you. Definitely NOT a set of 9 strips, each 7/8th inch wide. There are only two fabrics in this quilt: a white one and a red, white and blue stripe. The stripe looks like, but is not, a lot of small strips sewn together! I do not have the patience for that.

I started a different chevron that only uses two fabrics. The fabrics are cut in 8&7/8th inch strips, so there are two 8&7/8th inch strips. The process is exactly the same as for the quilt I made my son. I took pictures as I went and then added some text to them.

for some reason, I have had difficulty posting the pictures, but am giving it one more try. I hope it works. Yay! It seems to have worked!

What a great quilt for a guy. Love the flannel back and the chevrons look great in stripes. Cool idea!

What a beautiful quilt you made. Do you have any more of the striped fabric? Can you post a pic of that so I can see it in my head? I see so many different striped fabrics in your quilt. Imean, I believe you and all but I just can't see the original fabric. I really like your quilt for your son!

Wonderful!! Love the red white and blue theme. And your construction method sounds intriguing!
