Default D9P with Sashing

I wanted to try the D9P so grabbed a packet of fabric from the outreach (charity) table at my guild awhile ago. Just got the top finished, now to get backing and batting at the next guild meeting - or just turn in the top and finish it with others at an outreach workshop. I really like the interplay of the sashing & corner squares - I definitely will do this pattern again some day - on a quilt I can keep.

You did a wonderful job...it is very pretty and I like the block you created. Nice going! The color combination is very nice as well.

I love the D9P - there is so much that you can do with it. This turned out beautifully!

Nice quilt! Love the "sashing". Is there a pattern for this version? I did table toppers in D9P and loved them. Could you help me understand how you did the sashing?

The "pattern" was basically in my head - but I did work it out in EQ7. Basically, just sashing strips in the dark blue with light blue corner squares. What created the secondary diagonal feel was turning every other D9P block 90 degrees - putting the pink corners into a diagonal lineup, then the light blue corner squares were alternately in the center of pink squares and then in blue. Make sense to you? I will attach a block and a quilt layout.
