The 10 minute block is made with 5 pieces of fabric. This one has 6. The red is the one sewn into the four patch. The yellow in about 1/2" smaller then the finished size of the red square, place on top of the red then the red square is folded over the edges of the yellow one. See this tutorial. There is a pfd in message #3. Or think Cathedral window blocks that is where the yellow folded into the red comes from.

It looks as if it called "Binding Tool Star". But keep in mind this mine is a altered pattern. My blocks once put together create a pinwheel in the design so it will not look like the ones you will find online.

Thanks, I will be to sure to post them when I get them finished. I do have the Mickey top done except for the last border which I will put on this evening. It will probably a while though before I get that one quilted. Its not needed til December.

I love the black/purple block, but they are all beautiful and will make fantastic quilts. Keep on picking away at your quilts, as they do get done eventually and you're making lots of progress.

Great blocks. I especially love the Asian fabrics and the purple.
