My hubby asked for an "Indian" quilt. I came up with this. I'm thinking about trying "again" to machine quilt. Should I? I'm a very experienced hand quilter but have not had success with machine quilting. I have drawn a swirly-type pattern for the white but am stumped as to what to do with the bird. Thinking about plain in-the-ditch. I know there are lots of suggestions out there. Thanks.

go for it. Think your idea of swirly in the white would soften that area while in the ditch would highlight the "Thunderbird?"

My, that is gorgeous! I love the colors. I'm a hand quilter too but now learning to long arm quilt. What about making a template and putting some arrowhead shapes on the eagle? Can't wait to see what you decide to do. Please post again when it's all finished?!!
