Default Dr. Seuss Quilt is finished!! Also, a math problem for us teacher-types!

I'm so excited to have it done finally! Now there's just the wait of giving it to my future father-in-law this Christmas.

As some of you know, I'm in school to be an elementary teacher. In my math class, we have been tasked with coming up with 5 "real world problems" that would help a student see that we use math in our daily lives. So I used this quilt as part of 2 of my "real world problems." I thought I'd share it with you guys. For those of you with kiddos or in the teaching field, think about sharing some of the math you use in your quilting with your kids.

Very clever, and I love the fabric. Did you buy the Suess fabric from someone on this board who posted it?

Thank you everyone for your compliments. I'm going to share my math problem with my class in a couple hours, so I'm a bit nervous about that.

Zozee, I bought my fabric from fabric.com about a month ago, although I did see that someone had some on here recently.

Wonderful quilt and math problems. I find my husband often using my special quilting rulers on his shop projects.

I feel that quilts are a great math lesson, but a lot of times I just get lucky. LOL
