Thanks Dunster. I bought the 1" hexagon (thick) paper from my LQS and can reuse them once they are surrounded and sewn onto other pieces. I got the pack of 600 and think that toward the end of this journey (:)) I'll probably have to purchase some more--but it beats having the cut them individually.
To make things a little easier I'm also cutting the fabric around a 1 3/4" acrylic template I had. The fabric folds over quite nicely.
Once the top is done I'll add backing and batting and quilt (not sure how just yet).
Here's a picture maybe that's more clear than my description :).

It's beautiful! I love EPP as well, I'm working on a star-shaped project using diamonds. I love being able to take it with me when I know I'm going to have to sit around and wait for something.

i've always admired these, but can't work up the energy to start one. yours is lovely . so cheerful. i think the white really livens it up. will you do one rose that keeps growing or more than one that meet each other?

Thanks for the kind words. I have decided to just keep going, alternating with the white rows so it stays light and airey. Haven't thought too much on how I will do the corners since I will need to make it retangular. I may do smaller roses there or I might just continue the same theme. However, I think that's a long way off so I'll see what the quilt tells me to do :).

Here are some updated pictures of my EPP project.
I started on 24 Aug and sew at night while watching TV. Can't believe it's growing so fast.
