My LQS just started hosting a Farmer's Wife Quilt Club - we have met once. We were shown a Friendship Star (#41) and given not a lot of direction after that. So I'm just making blocks that look POSSIBLE with my current skill set. When I took an Intro to Quilting class a year ago we did some of these blocks and I am thrilled to know that things that were SO difficult last year are much more friendly this year. Yea for progress!

Since I'm not part of the group that's currently working on this quilt - and too impatient to wait for the next group - here are the first three blocks I have made. The fabrics are from a bundle of 6 fat quarters that were available through the LQS club. Each month we can purchase 6 FQs for $10. Hopefully these same looking fabrics will be lost in the whole when I have many more blocks.

It's exciting that you said things that were difficult last year are more "friendly" this year. Just wait and see your progress by NEXT year!
