My LQS started a club last Saturday for people making their way through the Farmer's Wife Quilt. We are encouraged to skip around in the book - not taking the blocks in order. We could purchase a bundle of 6 fat quarters for $10 to get started. The fabrics are supposed to be reproductions from that time. In the past week I've made these 6 blocks. The next meeting is the 2nd Saturday in September. Should I start adding different fabrics instead of just using the ones that came in my bundle? I'm hoping that when I get the next set they will mix with these well enough that it won't be so noticeable that I chose a limited number of fabrics to work with.

I love your blocks :). If you've got some fabric that will look good and you want to use than I would use that. It's hard to stop when your in the middle of a project :)

Those are so nice. I just got the book last week, trying to get everything together. I want to start the first of September. Going through the book by myself, wanting to challenge myself to finish.

You're doing a great job--your points are perfect! I like those colors. There are a lot of blocks (111) so will you be able to get enough of the same fabric for the rest of them? FWS looks good in any fabrics so if you stick with those it will look fantastic.

Beautiful blocks!
I would incorporate some new fabric each week, even 2-3 new ones will give you the option of using old and new to keep the flow going :D:D:D

WOW, there stunning. I'm making this one, one of the hardest yet, alot of the patterns templates were off. I'm making mine in scrappy CW prints and light shirting backrounds. Would love to see your progress along the way.
