Default Finally got my first quilt top finished

Ever since I joined the board and showed off my t-shirt quilt, I've been waiting to show everyone my first real quilt top. Thanks to the encouragement of some very kind quilting angels on this board, I was motivated to keep plugging away. I made this top using part of a jelly roll I found for 1/2 off at Tuesday Morning and combined it with a white on white floral and matching white on green floral I found on sale at Joanns. I used a tube quilt tutorial from Missouri Quilt Co as a guide. The finished size is approx 50 x 60 inches. I have it hanging on the wall for now -- not sure what to do next. Thinking of taking it to a local LAQ as I don't think I'm ready to try to tackle the rest although very interested in trying. I may practice a bit more and wait until after the holidays to try my hand at a simple pattern. Anyway, thanks again to the kind words while getting started.

Practice several different types of quilting then decide what you can do to make this look great! Even some simple echo quilting would make this pop!! You can do it!!

The colors are so great! I didn't know they sold jelly rolls and charm packs at Tuesday Morning. Now I have to go there even more often. This is really nice!

Speaking as an almost total newbie (just finished my first quilt), I have to tell you, hand-quilting was much easier than I thought it would be, and I loved it! It was rough going for the first night as I learned how to move my hand to get the rocking motion, but after that, it went very steadily. You might love it as much as I did, but you'll never know unless you try!
