    My Oldest UFO Finished!!

OK, granted, this was created from two prequilted panels, but I did add the backing and quilt the two layers together. I purchased these panels at least 11 years ago (before I got into quilting) with the hopes to make myself a Tree Skirt. Well, last year it finally made it under a the kids tree. Once Christmas was over, I got some backing fabric and tried to finish it for their tree. The squares on this is actually pockets. There are some small snowman and snow flakes that were part of the panel. They will be ornaments once I complete these. As for the Tree Skirt, just finished putting the last pocket on today. I am so glad this is done.

It's adorable, and I think it would be really fun to surprise kids with little treats in the pockets on Christmas morning. Sort of like a stocking bonus.

It's the journey that counts in the end regardless of how long it takes. It's really cute.

So am I. That is why I got this in the first place. Just took me a while to complete. I get at least one or two different snowmen a year. All from ornaments to large standing snowmen. Love all of them.
