Default Fourth weekend of October!

I've been working on a quilt from a pattern called Third Weekend of October off and on for the last 6 months. I had thought I might be able to get this top done last weekend but I chose the fabric for the border too late, it didn't arrive in time. So this is my Fourth Weekend of October quilt!

This was the first time I did paper piecing or a quilt with lots of HST. I would not necessarily recommend this quilt to a beginner, not that it was too hard but that my stash is not very large. I had to repeat fabrics more often than I would like throughout the quilt. This would be a good pattern to use up scraps but those of us only quilting a few years don't have enough for a true scrappy quilt.

The leaves here in Boston look nice still, much better than last year where we got a snowstorm the last weekend of October!

I love your quilt. Where did you get the pattern please? I'd like to give it a try. You did such a great job. Well done!

How fun! Looks just like a pile of leaves in the yard waiting for kids and dogs to jump into!

Wow! I just LOVE it!! There is no way I would think you didn't have a large enough stash to make it truly scrappy!! Good Job!

Your stash yielded a beautiful quilt. It'd also be perfect as a lovely seasonal wallhanging, besides being a colorful addition to any bedroom or other room decor. Very nice work.
