Default Granddaughter's first quilt

I would like to share with you my granddaughter's first quilt! She is just shy of 7 yrs old and has been asking to sew with me for some time. I had her hand sew the squares together and she did a great job. Then we sandwiched it together and she stitched a different fancy stitch along each seam by machine. Of course she did not do this alone! She is very proud of her quilt and now wants to use my "quilting machine! Yep, that will be next. I am so happy to have one of my grandchildren interested in sewing. She has now renamed my sewing room to "our sewing room"! I will love to share my space with her.

Both the quilter and the quilt are adorable. she looks so very proud of her accomplishment, she may be already hooked on quilting.

That is quite an accomplishment- a happy quilt and a very proud maker! Congrats on having her to share your sewing room!

Hope this is only the start. She's done a great job. Lovely little quilt and very lovely granddaughter. Hope to start my GD quilting in September when we visit.

Frogs my favorite, how cute you are and love your first quilt. Always keep it to show and tell later in years of your first quilt. You will grow up to be a famous quilter one day I bet..

Look at that smile! She should be very proud, and I'm sure you will have great fun together making many more.
