    Default Grandma's Strippin'

Here are a couple of pictures of a quilt I just finished and my first attempt at hand quilting and second attempt at piecing a larger sized project. I hand quilted around the hand appliquéd parts and then in some of the empty spaces in and around the corners. I machine quilted the rest of it, which I know I probably should not have done, but didn't think I would have the patience to hand quilt the whole thing especially this being my first one. The fabric is Eleanor Burns "Ellie Ann" and the pattern is called Grandma's Strippin'. It was a fun project.

I really like it! Did you go to one of Eleanor's classes? I think she was teaching it at a quilt show outside Seattle last winter. Sounded like lots of fun! I love the back, too, and the prairie points!

Whatever you did, it's beautiful. We can do whatever we want,, when we're doing it.
