Default Grandson's quilt

I had to resize these photos in order to upload. I hope they show up ok. My grandson is going to Syracuse in the fall and has played baseball all through high school, so I made him this reversible quilt. The trick to the whole thing was in the quilting because whatever design worked on one side didn't work on the other. So I quilted each side to a piece of Warm and Natural and then put the two sides together, so it has double layers of batting, which I figured would be welcomed on a cold night! The quilt has many flaws, but I hope it is non-traditional enough that he'll like it. The big S is machine appliqued. The baseball side is a panel with 4 different border fabrics.

So once you had two quilted parts, how did you put them together so they don't come apart in the middle? I love the idea of a reversible quilt. You did a great job. What a lucky grandson.

We have a great nephew going to Syracuse this fall and I wanted to make him a high school grad. quilt but couldn't find any Syracuse fabric, but Christmas is coming. Would you mind telling me where you found it? Thanks so much

It was from College Fabric Store online. I see one of the choices is sold out but the other is still there. But if you Google Syracuse fabric, a couple of other choices also come up.
