I posted the individual squares some time this summer and have now put them together.
While on vacation I went to a shop and had someone help with suggestions for sashes and borders. I mostly did not take her advice and bought some fabrics I really liked.
Now that it is together I am not sure. I don't like the tan floral 6-inch border
Anyone with feedback on what I should do next, please let me know!

The first 2 photos are as I had planned but I don't like it.
The other 2 are what I could do.
I hope you can visualize the options without seeing the whole thing.
I am open to buying other fabric for the last border...and it needs that last border to cover the bed nicely.

    THANKS!

    the whole quilt

In my opinion, the flowered border you show would look
better if it had more dark colors in it

I'd say green floral for the outer border.....a green floral with the green like the inner border and has bits of the colors that are in the blocks. I wouldn't use the cornerstones in the borders. I love the colors in the blocks. It's a beautiful quilt.

How would it look with the fabrics reversed? The flower then the dark?

I agree. I like all the fabrics but I'd put the floral border between the green and the red, ending with the red on the outer edge. Seems more balanced, somehow, to my eye.

A beautiful quilt, by the way, very nice colours. (But then red is my favorite!)
