Red face How could I have passed such an opportunity...

I just packed my household including my fabric stash (which is modest in comparison to some others', but I still filled two big plastic totes with my quilting stuff...). So I was really not planing on buying more fabric for the time being! Actually, I went to a LQS last week and successfully stuck to my resolution and only bought the needles and hand quilting thread I needed.

But today, I had to go somewhere, and just one block before I arrived, I passed a sign "Quilting Show". Sure I had to peak my nose in there on the way back to the tramway station!

The show was ok, I loved the colours of some of the quilts. However, they were all very modern and very artsy and not at all "traditional". BUT... there was a sales table with several totes of FQs at the unbeatable price (at least for Europe!) of about USD 1.5 a piece! One of the two quilters who ran the show was obviously trying to reduce her stash. How could I have passed that opportunity! So I left with 14 beautiful FQs for about USD 21! (One could easily spend that amount on just 1 meter of fabric here!). Now I have to share my joy with someone - don't dare showing them to my mom who is already a little exasperated about all the stuff I brought her to store for me!

Those are beautiful colors! And at that price they needed to come home with you. Now all you have to do is plan a quilt to make. Or do you already have a plan?

Nice selection of fat quarter fabrics. Enjoy them when you get settled in.

Great selection of fat quarters -- have fun using them. They would be a good buy in the US too. Good find.
