It's done with 2.5 x 4.5 strips and the blocks finish at 8 inches. I cut up a bunch of strips and intended it for a leaders and enders project. But they were so fun to make that I just kept sewing blocks and ended up with enough for two quilts, one full/queen and this lap quilt. As it turned out I had to buy blue fat quarters in order to have enough variety for the background. I'd like to make another one using a different color for the background strips, maybe various tans or batiks but I'm holding off till my scrap bin gets a lot fuller so maybe I'll have enough actual scraps this time.
