I'm loving this now thanks to you! Need input for border please!

I am SOOOO glad I listened to everyone on the board that encouraged me to continue with this quilt. The results far exceed what I thought it would be like when I first started sewing the blocks together! I now know you can't tell a quilt by it's early beginnings!
Now I'm trying to figure out the borders. I'm completely out of the dark blue fabric that I used for sashings. I have scraps from the shirts left and I have larger pieces of some fabrics left (see pic)...but I think I need to go purchase really dark blue for the border (to really anchor it all) and then use the rustic red material for the inset triangles for the binding. But I really would like input...since y'all were so instrumental in me finishing this! :-) What are your ideas?
The quilt so far is approx. 67 x 97 without any border. It's intended to be a large throw for my tall son.
Thanks again!

I have "just" enough blue paisley for the border but I'm not sure it's the way to go. I think I need something darker...what do y'all think?

I think you're on the right track with using a dark blue for the border. If you can't find the same as you used in the sashings, go for one that "reads" the same value. Then bind with the red as planned to tie it all together.
GREAT JOB on the piecing!!
