I need to know how I can quilt the outer border and the log cabin blocks. I was thinking about just SID around the panel squares and maybe some simple holly leaves around the outside border, but I keep changing my mind , Can someone please give me some suggestions. It is a very busy looking quilt and I dont want to cover up the little panels in the centers of the log cabins. This is for my DS for Christmas.
The pattern is from The pattern book called Frosted Memories
by This -and -that patterns. Thankyou so much in advance!
    :P :P :P

Please don't mind the basting pins

on long cabins i believe simple is better. could do a border type design in the borders but otherwise keep it simple for the blocks.

Meandering sounds good, you don't want it to be to busy. It is very pretty, you did a great job!! I also like the holly leaf idea, not much help am I.....quilting is my downfall, I can never decide what will work. Until the light bulb comes on and then it is all good!

Thankyou Kat, I think if I did that I would have to use a nuetral color quilting thread and a large stipple, so that might work.
