Finally lugged mystery machine into the house. Weighs a ton.

Anyway,
brand name----------HILTON
country of origin----JAPAN
called -----------ZIGZAG STITCHER
model # ----------307
serial #-----------4898

I did try to sew. I think the belt is a bit stretched out. Or I've got the stitches set wrong, but it does sew.

Has an unusual bobbin winder--------attached to the wheel area.

LOL, he's too darned heavy. I'll have to keep him or have pins put in my back! He only cost me $5. Less than he and Liz spent on each other, I'm sure.

That's not an unusual bobbin winder. All the machines built in this time have the same set-up.

I thought that comment about the bobbin winder really showed my age. I remember those and the one I learned on in 7th grade had the bobbin winder in the same place. Of course that was about 41 years ago. Oh my, how old am I????LOL

LOL, I had two kids when you were in the 7th grade. And the bobbin I learned with was a long skinny thing on a treadle machine.
