OH my...that is awesome Shari...thank you for finding that....yes, there are two blocks of that, and I could not figure out what they meant! So we have AOUW and IOOF represented here! Very interesting. Now to research the names! This is fun...but it is not getting my garden planted..hehehe

The photo with the piece with the horseshoe and crop also has the Oddfellows symbol embroidered. (the three linked rings)

The ax could also be representing the Woodmen of the World. There are a couple of others that could be from the Mason's

What a treasure. The colors are still so vibrant and the stitching so lovely. There's so much to see. Congratulations on a great find.

I thought that too! Still looking at it in AWE.....will try some better photography with my better camera tomorrow! Also taking it to see a crazy quilt collector. As it happens we already had a "play day" set for tomorrow! She will be surprised at my show n tell for sure!
