Default Little cot quilt

This Is is for the third of my not yet born grandchildren due in April. It is a girl! It's definitely a girl. Mum chose the fabric which was designed by an artist inspired by her love of Africa. In the print there is representation of Mt Kilimanjaro and of course the foothills, plains and wild life. I still have loads off fabric left so plan on making a couple of smaller quilts. My problem is picking a design. A triptych kind of format was all I could think of so that the print wasn't lost. I'm not so sure how this will work in smaller quilts. I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Mum would like the same colours in all three. Thank you oops! Some of those butterflies antennae are a bit wobbly!

Very nice quilt and quilting! Butterflies are such a cute addition. You can try doing some border quilts. Cut a large square or rectangle of your focus fabric and then add pieced borders until you get the size you want. One border can be triangles, another border can be checkerboard, etc. Check Pinterest.com or Google Images for Border quilts for some more ideas.

Www.maryquilts.com has a simple strippy quilt that would also showcase your fabric. It is similar to your quilt. By the way, I love your quilt and I love the lovely fabric, too.
