Beautiful! I tried the disappearing pinwheel with less than acceptable results, I think it was because the sub-cuts were wonky sizes, like you said. I will try your re-sizing tip with the disappearing hourglass block.

I really like the block turned wrong also. I wonder how a quilt would look with half made right and half made "wrong" and stagger the blocks? I think it would turn out great. May have to put that on my list.
