This quilt belongs to my son, since I took his favorite jeans (the most faded patches) to start this quilt.

made with 6 in squares of used jeans. the decorated alternate between hand embroidery and machine appliqué, with solid block separating the decorated blocks

Loretta, there was no theme to this quilt. I started this in the early '70s when people did embroidery on shirts and jeans. I bought any iron on transfer designs I could find. same with the fabrics, one I could cut out designs to appliqué.

That quilt is soooooooooooo cool! I just love it! I've been saving jeans for years, yearning to make a quilt with them. You have given me inspiration! :-o

What a creative idea!!!! I like the thought of doing embroidery on the denim. Very great job.
