my first quilt project

Thank you all for the nice comments.
Ducky, hope you have an embroidery machine...you will wear your fingers out doing the embroidery by hand, as I found out.
Gramma Lehr, it does take a lot of jeans. I ended up going to thrift stores and buy the biggest jeans I could find. Maybe you could get more block from the baggy jeans of recent years.

I forgot to mention some of the special blocks.
row 4 5th from right is a pear done in all yellow seed beads.
About the center of the quilt is an Indian head whatever you call it. It has bead work on it also. the little orange dog's collar is black beads
The orange and black car 5th row from bottom far right is my 1970 Karman Ghia convertible. ;-)

I love this quilt. Sometimes the "no theme" ones are more fun.
I have wanted to make a denim quilt with embroidery. I am going to do the "raggedy" quilt when/if I ever get to mine. I do have an embroidery machine, and I think it would be a fun way to try out all the different designs that are built in and a fun way to try out some other ones.

I love your quilt. I just made a jean quilt out of my DHs old jeans., not quite finished yet. I also like embroidery. A jean quilt will be warm this winter. I live in the south, but it gets cold here .

Butterflywing, I'm assuming you are asking how old my son is...he is 47 years old. This was always to be his quilt, but I would keep it for him until he was readly for it. I still have it. I told him to take it several times, but he keeps leaving it with me.
This was to be a quilt that would be passed on to the grandson, great-grandson, etc. I'm beginning to think it is never going to get passed on out of my house.
