Default My Husband Made This.....

My retired husband has been bored with all the snow and cold this winter so he asked me if he could help me sew. I was working on a QAYG quilt so I did the piecing and he did the quilting on the blocks. When he was finished with that he asked if there was something else he could do. I started thinking about all those scraps I'd been accumulating for a long time and decided to get scraps ready for him to sew together. This is his first quilt. I did the QAYG joining and the binding but the rest was his work. It measures 69x90 and fits his twin bed perfectly. He's pretty proud of it and I'm proud of him. Now he's ready to do another one...haha

Cool! Looks like your husband found a new hobby. Was the work done using the machine in your avatar? Tinkering with the old machines is fun too.

super quilt! It looks like he had a lot of fun. Will you have to give him some of your space now?

Looks like we have another convert. He did a great job. So when are you going to get him his own machine?

Thanks everyone for the kind replies. I'll let him know.

Ginger...haha. I have 3 different machines that he used during this process but mostly he did all the piecing on my Janome 6600. He likes all three of them, though.

MaryMo...We have a very large man cave in our basement. Half of the room wasn't being used so I took it over last year when I moved my sewing space from a small 3rd bedroom upstairs, so technically, I took over his space
