    One more question. Once the strips are sewn together, do you have to cut them into 8 1/2" squares first? Or is it possible to just cut the strips directly into 45 degree angle triangles by flipping your ruler 180 degrees for each cut? I guess that one would need a small ruler with a 45 degree angle side to make the second option feasible? Both options would still give you two sets A and B of the triangles. I agree with ruthrings that the strips are probably 4" - 2" - 2". Thanks to MTS for the great diagram for cutting the triangle sets of A and B!
