New York Block

Hi Marion. well isn't this just stunning. I saw you were looking for more material and now know what you were looking for. This is not a traditional NYB. I haven't read the whole thread yet for pattern info. Love this one M.

Mike'sgirl has the fabric, so I'm working on all the flying geese while it's in the mail!

Here is what I have so far.
In the middle will be the same fabric as the circle and end pieces of the blocks.
I'm not sure how to arrange the flying geese ... any ideas / suggestions are welcome ...
And then I need to figure out what colour fabric should go around the outside.
Again ... any suggestions / ideas are more than welcome!
Thanks for looking!

I think I would split the geese colors up around the outside... but hard to say without seeing it like that first.
For the outside, can you use your pretty background fabric from the middle?
It's going to be gorgeous, any way you go!

I agree with Lynnie about splitting up the flying geese, although I could go either way with that. My preference would be to use your excellent leaf fabric for the border, if you have enough, and use something lighter between the blocks, maybe something that "reads as beige". I think an inner border would be good too, but I am not sure of what I think that should be.
You are doing beautifully so far, I'll bet that if you give it a rest for a day or so you will know what works best for you.
