Yesterday I posted a photo of a quilt that I was disappointed in. See first photo. Lots of you loved it and what an encouragement that was and some of you made suggestions. I only had scraps from the fqs to work with that were 2 inchs wide. So I added the second border using the scraps and then added a third border of the gold. The value of the fabrics used is the same, but the purple looks blue and stands out for some reason in the photo.

I want to thank you all for the wonderful comments and help. The second photo is of the quilt with changes. I am much happier with it.

Turned out to be 68"x75" and it was not made from 21 fat quarters, but 28 fq. I got the fqs at Joann's with my 50% off coupons, and the top only cost me $20.00 plus the gold borders, which I had in my stash. The binding will be the same as the second border.

Thanks again lovely ladies. You are gems and much appreciated.

So I guess you don't need me to take it off your hands then? Wow, it was beautiful before but really eye popping now! Great job!

That's a big, big difference & makes the center really stand out. Aren't you glad you were persistent & redid the pic? Let us see when it's quilted please.

The borders sure do add some "oomph" although it was nice even before.
