    Curious if you ever found out if those prewounds were silk or not? I tell you what, if you hand applique, silk is just wonderful.

    Test the thead by yanking on it to see if it is still strong, then use it in thread painting. If the iron ons are faint, the ink will wash out quicker. It is for straight stitch hand embroidery. Wonder if you could use it for appliques? .29c shows it could be sold on ebay for .10-.15 c each.

    ps. There should be a test stamp on the inside to see if it will take to fabric. none of it will take to fabric w/ sizing. I made a bunch for friends, got the towels at Herreschners.com
