What a beautiful picture and the quilt is just so pretty and unique! I am sorry for your loss and wish he could have enjoyed it much, much longer. God bless you as you recover from your loss.

I remember seeing that quilt when you posted it last. I'm glad you were able to give it to him so he could enjoy it. I'm so sorry for your loss. Treasure the joy you see in his face in the picture.

Deb, what a wonderful quilt! Your DH looks so happy...what a great picture!!
So sorry for your loss. Hopefuly, the quilt will give you the comfort you need.
You should blow that picture up HUGE and put it in your sewing room!!!

My DH is turning 80 this year and I've never made a quilt we have kept.... until a few months ago (and it got out of control and is more a wall hanging than the bed quilt we planned). So I am trying to find the time to begin another, just for him! Because of your beautiful entry and photo I am definitely going to put more emphasis on getting it done! A few years ago I began one for my brother who had Lou Garricks disease but he died very quickly and I gave it to his daughter. I missed getting that happy smile your husband gave you! I wish you all the best there can be in these coming months/years.

i'm so very sorry for your loss. i can't imagine. He looks so happy and proud in the picture....i love his smile, it goes right to his eyes. and the penguins aregreat!
