Default Paint chip challenge-by Harriet

Our sewing group holds a retreat once a year. Last year was our first group challenge. We were given two color paint chips and the instruction to make a quilt no bigger than 40"x40" and it had to have applique. The winner was given a decked out iron. Here are some of the quilts.
The first is the winner! Next year's challenge is to use a panel. Stay tuned!

Very interesting! I take it that each person was given different colors of paint chips? How silly of me, I was enjoying the quilts so much I did not notice the paint chips next to them, until I went back for another look!

Great challenges! My favourite is the hexagon table runner.

What a great idea! Table runner is my favourite, but all are beautiful. Isn't it amazing how many different directions quilting can be taken in?

Bought an iron at Goodwill. Removed the plug and spray painted gold. Then added some large jewels to the sole plate. Each winner will sign and keep for a year.
