These are some potholders I made after Nolee posted a pic of hers. These are made by layering a square of backing fabric (I used 6 1/2"), 3 layers of washed cotton batting, 7", and then starting with a strip down the center, doing stitch 'n flip on each side 'till I reach the corner. Then square it up and add binding just like I would on a quilt, all by machine.
What are your methods for making potholders?

These are very striking looking, and they sound pretty easy! I think I'll adopt your method!

These are especially pretty. I started to make potholders recently with just a pretty print front and back and even did small quilt blocks on a couple and binded same as a quilt but I want to try these. I think these would make a lovely gift, to me! :-D :-D

Yeah, a gift to me!! That's a great idea!
I like to knit the square dishrags and put a purchased dish towel with it, and a couple of pot holders; makes a great gift! Good for a gift swap, secret sister, birthday gift, Christmas gift, etc., when I need something in a hurry.
