I think I'm about half way. It's taking longer than I had thought. It does get heavy quick. I am going to make another section this size then piece the two together. I think it will make it easier to work with.

You are doing a fabulous job. I love the bright colors. I took a cathedral window class and working in sections was one of the hints. It makes it easier to get to the windows. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.

To those of you wanting to try Cathedral Windows...do it! It's not hard. There are a lot of steps but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a breeze. Trust me, if I can do it...anyone can! |
How about that tutorial?

Hi Sylvia,
there was a tutorial on Simply Quilts a few years back, you might be able to access it still from the HGTV site. |
|
BeachBirdie - I did my CW the same way you will be doing yours - make 2 halves then put them together. It does get heavy and awkward. Yours is turning out beautifully.

That is just beautiful!!! Many years ago I decided to make that quilt, I made enough sqares to make a pocket on an apron I made for my Mother. I just had to find a way to use them, as it seemed to take forever. My hat is off to you for your beautiful work!!!
