Just finished a "drag around quilt" for my great grandson's 2nd birthday. I used corduroy fabrics from his great great grandmother's old skirts and leftover corduroy fabrics from when I made them. The backing is an Andover flannel fabric I purchased in 1987. I did not buy anything new for this quilt. It is not a "work of art" just a utility quilt designed for hard use. Finished size is 45" x 60". The seams were pressed flat and I used a herringbone stitch and stitched in the ditch to reinforce the seams. I then machine quilted diagonally across the squares. I just might make one for my bed since if the quilt is kid proof it might be dog proof.

You've made a super quilt! It is very pretty and looks like it will wear like iron!

Terrific! I like that idea and the price is fab. I'm thinking a good cover for my dog beds.
