"Liberated" Barn for DQ Swap
2 Attachment(s)
I've been experimenting in "liberated" piecing. It takes a little foresight to put one together but this was fun. Only wish I would've used a little more contrast in windmill and sky. This should be in OK tomorrow. Just the windmill is first.

Wow, really creative, and great thinking "out of the box"!

I think it's adorable, the windmill blades seem to be rotating.

Oooh, very very nice! :)

Looks like a fun project!

Just beautiful, great job, thanks for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
That is absolutely wonderful ... a very realistic funky farm scene! You got the old windmill just right (yes OK, a little more contrast would been nice). And your detailing of the birds, grass?/hay? growing up above the fabric, and straw hanging out of the mow is fantastic.
I'm sure in your farm community this will be a hit. Is it heading to the school fundraiser too? or? |
Can you say "fabric paints" or perhaps markers? You can add some shadow and contour to the windmill to make it pop out a bit. Still, it's pretty just the way it is.

Love this... what is liberated piecing?
